GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
- SPEEDS & FEEDS are suggested starting points & may be increased or decreased depending on actual material and Machine conditions.
- Reduce SFM as material hardness increases.
- White chips indicate speed should be increased.
- For lighter cuts use higher range of recommended SFM.
- For greater radial cut use lower range of recommended SFM.
- Axial depth of cut should not exceed 1-1/2 times the cutter diameter.
- Extra long end mills, FPT should be reduced by 50%.
- In slotting applications, SFM should be reduced by 20% of lowest range.
- For Tin & TiCN coated tool β increase speed by up to 20% w/ feed rate unchanged.
- For TiALN coated tools β speeds may be increased by up to 50% w/ feed rate unchanged.
